Į darbus taip pat įeis nelegalių keliukų uždarymas ten pasėjant viržynus, taip pat teks persikelti į Neblando salą ir išvalyti gamtos rezervatą nuo šiukšlių.

« STOP TO THE 7TH CONTINENT »

In Lozère, FRANCE

Who? Minimum of 4 participants per country aged from 18 to 30 + 1 “leader”. Participants must be VOLUNTEERS and INTERESTED in the topic but no request for any special skill.
When? The exchange will take place from 19th july to 09th august.
Where? Le Pont de Montvert (48), 25 km from Florac, 45 km from Mende, 55 km from Alès). The participants are expected to do not plan touristic visits during the project! Please plan them before or
after the project dates!
Costs: Lodging, accommodation costs covered + partial travel reimbursement according to the E+ distance calculator.

PROJECT

This project plans to gather 20 participants from 18 to 30 years old coming from Italy, Spain, Lithuania and France. The « 7th continent » is the name given to a huge amount of waste which covers an area of 3,5 million km² in the Pacific Ocean. Through our daily consuming practices, especially the use of packaging, we are involved in this worldwide natural disaster. Even if the region of Lozere is one of the most protected and preserved area in France, and is part of a national park, the inhabitants of this region are also concerned by this problem and should think about a sustainable solution to the management of rubbishes and wasted packagings.
This project of youth exchange is integrated into the continuity of the reflection committed within the Passadou association : what do we set up so that every citizen of the world becomes aware of current environmental stakes?
The topic about the waste management is for Passadou a priority point to tackle, because, besides provoking in the oceans, the death of million birds, fishes and marine mammals every year, the plastic waste affect human populations today. On one hand, waste at sea increases the difficulties for fishing, and on the other hand, the human being at the end of the chain food, ingest fragments of plastics which can have ill effect on the health.

ACTIVITIES
The activities break down into three phases :

• A phase of exchanges about our behaviour in our own country and meeting with locals actors in
• charge of the recycling management
• The second phase with the creation of a communication medium
• A last phase focused on the sharing of knowledges and the valuation of the project on the festival Pass-Pass which is organised by Passadou and a rural association Passe-Montagne.

We can take advantage of our leisure time to discover natural resources and local traditions of the Mount Lozère and in sources of the Tarn, swim in river, make some hike, participate in locals festivities.

Nors jau ne vienas mėnuo praėjo nuo jaunimo mainų Prancūzijoje, vis dar menu daugybę su įspūdžių kupina savaite susijusių nuotykių, nutikimų bei sutiktų bendraminčių. Pastarųjų jau spėjau gerokai pasiilgti, tad belieka džiaugtis kartas nuo karto Facebooke pasirodančiomis naujienomis apie juos. Draugų sąrašo papildymas šiame, o ir kituose socialiniuose tinkluose, paprastai kone būtina kiekvieno Europos Sąjungos Komisijos organizuojamo projekto sąlyga. Sunku įsivaizduoti panašaus pobūdžio veiklas, į kurias susirinkę žmonės nepasižymėtų išskirtinėmis socialinio aktyvumo, noro pažinti, geriau suprasti kitus, būti problemų sprendimo dalimi ir kitomis veiklaus bei tolerantiško visuomenės nario savybėmis. Net jei atsiranda individų, kurie projekto pradžioje pasirodo santūresni ar turintys griežtai nustatytą įsitikimų programą, kurios nėra linkę keisti, beveik visais atvejais po savaitės praleistos atvirai mąstančių, įkvepiančių ir veiklių dalyvių apsuptyje, geba sugriauti sienas, trukdančias mąstyti plačiau.

Nors susitikimas su dalyviais net iš penkių Europos Sąjungai priklausančių valstybių buvo gana trumpas, turint omenyje visą likusį jaunų žmonių gyvenimą, išmoktos pamokos ir per patirtis įgytas supratimas galimai išliks ilgiau ir bus pritaikytas kasdienėse situacijose geriau nei vadovėliuose taisyklingai išdėstytos taisyklės. Pagrindinis jaunimo mainų „Do you see borders?“ tikslas buvo susijęs su visuomenėje įsigalėjusių stereotipų, virstančių mus skiriančiomis sienomis „sugriovimas“. Šiam tikslui pasiekti buvo naudojama daugybė įvairių neformalaus mokymo priemonių ir metodų, kurie buvo ne tik informatyvūs, bet kartau labai interaktyvūs bei nuotaikingi.

Esu be galo dėkinga projekto organizatoriams bei jaunimo savanoriškos veiklos centrui Deineta už suteiktą progą pasinaudoti šia patirtimi, o visiems kurie svarsto galimybę sudalyvauti panašaus pobūdžio veiklose ir projektuose nedvejodama siūlau pasiryžti tai išmėginti!

Leona Müller is a 19 year old girl, who had finished her high school in Germany last year and has been a volunteer for 9 months in Kindergarten – School “Sviesa” in Kaunas. Children in this kindergarten are mainly from 6 to 8 years old and Leona is an assistant of teachers.

Leona is among the youngest volunteers. She says the reason why she wanted to be a volunteer is of two aspects, firstly, she thought university was hard, so she needed one year to have a break and think over the major and the direction of her future; secondly, she was affected by her sister, who was a volunteer too, and she liked the description of the project in kindergarten so much that she decided to come to Kaunas immediately. She really loves her job here.
Her job here is taking care of children when they have breakfast and lunch and in the noon break, also playing games with them. Sometimes she would teach them some Germany child songs, dancing, helping them with their homework, and bake some cookies with them.

Leona says she was really scared during the beginning of her life here, for it is the first time she leaves home, and Lithuania is a country which has its own language and most people can’t understand or use English. She told a story that, at the beginning, once she talked in German with her friend on a bus, and the woman sitting beside her was angry and left. And long, cold and harsh winter made people not smile and also not enthusiastic. So she was seriously homesick.
However, this situation changed soon for the lovely children who gave her a lot of hugs and endless love. She really enjoyed the time staying with them.

Leona says after the 9 months, she thinks she is more brave now, she can do a lot of stuff on her own which she just asked help from her family before, like living and traveling alone. But maybe when she comes back home that could she know how big the change of her is judged by her families and friends.

There is only one week left before Leona goes back to her hometown (correct at 2013/05/15), she says she already miss the children and colleagues here. She says she would come back to Lithuania and visit them in the summer of next year and she will remember those precious times in her deep heart.
